The man accused of killing and burning his lover in South Africa to avoid detection has appeared in court looking unruffled.

The South African man accused of murdering and burning his lover, Sandile Mantsoe, has appeared before a Johannesburg Magistrates Court where he looked remorseless and defiant, reports Times Live.
It is reported that the 27-year-old Mantsoe who allegedly murdered and burnt Karabo Mokoena on April 28, 2017, in the Diepkloof region of Soweto, did not express any feeling
of guilt as he walked into the courtroom dressed in an Adidas jacket‚ with his gold and black hair glistening in the light of the courtroom.
He is standing trial for the premeditated murder and burning the body of Karabo with whom he is said to have been in a relationship.

According to new revelations in court by the victim's father, Tshepo Mokoena, Mantsoe did not kill his daughter by mistake as his family was seen on CCTV cleaning the apartment, where he murdered her and leaving with the clothes.
Mokoena also confirmed that Mantsoe pointed out the scene where he allegedly dumped Karabo after he was arrested.
Before the brief trial was postponed to the May 24 for a formal bail application, Mantsoe was warned that he faces life in prison should he be convicted of the brutal murder while he will remain in custody pending hearing on his bail application.
